We can still play on a rainy day!

We can still play on a rainy day!

I loved all of the beautiful spring colors the Dhars put together for this shoot. It makes me forget for a moment that it is actually freezing outside for this time of year.
The two girls together were really sweet and I thought it was especially touching how comforted 6 month old Ellie was whenever her big sister was close by. That’s a good sister bond right there. Thank you for a wonderful shoot!

Hello, 2013. Never thought I’d see you so soon. Well, let’s make the most out of lost time and get this party started.
Where has time gone? Mostly spent with these two cuties right here, but I’m so ready to pick back up where I left off about 4 years ago when Henry was born. I know I have a lot to catch up on. The photography world has changed so much in such a short amount of time, but I’m ready to take it on and take it all in. I know I’ve had lots of interest during my break and I will try my best to reach out to those people as I’m slowly getting settled in. I know my bookings will be VERY limited until I get my feet wet again, but I’m looking forward to being back in business soon so please be patient with me.
Something to look out for — my business name will likely change as I renew the business. “Photos Unscripted” served me well when I specialized in “photojournalistic” photography back in 2005, but saying that my photos are “unscripted” isn’t as accurate today as it was then.
I like to write my own stories now. As a result, a new website is possible.

It’s really hard to believe that it was 6 years ago when I first started photographing the Cragins. Now these “babies” have grown into the most gorgeous ladies I’ve ever met. Now their annual tradition of taking pictures has become my own holiday tradition! They set the bar higher for me every year and they make me want to be a better photographer. For that, I’m thankful. Until next year…
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m almost back! I started Photos Unscripted in 2005 as just a wedding photography business, but after having my own son years later, I found a new passion in family and children photography. Photographing children brings me so much joy. My passion is to capture each of their little individual personalities in a unique way. So although it pains me to put all of my wedding photos in the archive, I’m very excited about this next chapter in my life and in my business and I hope you’ll enjoy this new adventure with me!
Instead of going back to create a new post for each past portrait session, you can find some of my favorites in this post. Please come visit my blog often to see new pictures and stories. As always, thank you for being part of Photos Unscripted for all these years.
Yours truly,
Kim
I am so happy to hear you are back!!!! We will definitely be emailing to set up a session with our soon to be family of 4.
