Within the past few weeks, we’ve seen everything from snow to high heat and finally, spring is bringing us some weather worth going out in. Today was a perfect opportunity to pull some gear out of storage and put them to good use…one light style! Thanks to Zack, I am excited again to shoot and even more importantly, shoot with light! Thanks so much to my little bro for being a great model for us. He was perfect!

We have been in Pittsburgh this week to attend the One Light Workshop put on by Zack Arias. What an amazing and truly indescribable experience! I’ve never felt so inspired and so enlightened about photography by anyone. Zack is a master of light and he stayed true to his “one light” philosophy! If he visits to a city near you (or anywhere you can travel by car, air, or boat), he is a must see!
Here is a shot taken by Trevor, and I must stay I was so impressed when I saw this. I never knew these types of images could come out of my camera!

This is a new record…4 weeks of no blog posts! I just can’t believe it’s March already! I’m still here. Just thawing out from all of the snow and ice we’ve been covered in. It’s been no fun and I’m definitely ready for Spring. Today’s weather was a pleasant surprise and change from the past weeks. I believe we’re going to top 60! I took my camera out to a nearby farm this morning just to take some pictures, but the grounds were just covered in mud because of the melting ice. I couldn’t tell the difference between the mud and poo so I didn’t last there for very long!
Well, here are two shots I actually got this morning, even in the poo and all.
I was just going to take a shot of her eating, but as soon as I looked through my viewfinder, she was obviously very interested in my camera!
These birds are truly beautiful.
