Some may get tired of me saying how much I love my couples, but it’s true. I LOVE my couples. Jennifer and Christian hired us immediately after a wedding we photographed of their good friends over a year ago. You may remember the ever-so-adorable Diana and Jim (see below). Although we hadn’t met formally when they booked us, I knew exactly which couple they were because they totally stood out for me with their big smiles and awesome dance moves. At Diana and Jim’s wedding, Christian created his infamous “pencil dance”, which is to this day one of my favorite dance shots ever. We were thrilled when he re-enacted it at his own wedding!
Trevor and I were so excited and anxious to see them again in Williamsburg, where they were married. Just as I remembered, they were just glowing with happiness. It’s so easy to see why they are surrounded with TONS of really wonderful people. If you want some really great friends, these are your people! This wedding goes down as one of the most emotional for me. I barely held it together during their father/daughter and mother/son dances, but it was all laughs and fun when the reception started. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces. We truly had a ball and are so honored to be a part of these times that we share with our couples, their friends, and their families. Thanks so much for having us!
Jennifer after she was unveiled with her wonderful father. He gave them wonderful lessons to live by and Trevor and I now quote things that he said. One of them is that the two most important conversations you’ll ever have is table talk and pillow talk. (I apologize if I totally butchered that).

They are just spilling with happiness!

Super-fabulous friends and wicked awesome dancers.

It’s true. Brides do glow on their wedding day.

First dance

This could possibly be my favorite picture of the year and I promise you that it is barely enhanced at all. This is Christian and his mother during their dance. There’s so much emotion in her eyes and I just love everything about this picture. Over to the side, Jennifer was beginning to tear up while her dad was holding her tight and at the end, Christian’s sister joined the dance and the three of them huddled in the middle of the dance floor. It was simply beautiful.

Ah!! This is Diana and Jim, my super super wonderful couple from 2006. I can’t tell you how much it made me melt to see them on the floor having so much fun, so in love, just like it was their own wedding again.

I wanted to show this cake because it was created by one of the groomsmen. He is not a professional baker – it’s a hobby for him. Isn’t it just incredible? The cake was talked about all night long and it’s easy to see why! What a show-stopper!

At the end of “New York, New York”…obviously a crowd favorite here for all of the New Yorkers!

The end of the night

I just typed a long post and it got swiped when I saved it! Well, I’ll write something fresh. =)
I’m so glad to finally complete the post and add pictures! We got to know Grace and Dan pretty well after photographing their engagement session a few months ago. I knew they were going to be a blast when Grace showed up with her bright red pumps. Go girl!
It’s obvious that Trevor and I love countryside weddings and Grace and Dan’s wedding was a treat for us! Set on a mountain overlooking the foliage, it couldn’t be more perfect. It was breezy, sunny, and beautiful. Days leading up to the event, it poured…so when the sun came out on Saturday, it was just amazing. Thanks so much for having us…it was an honor

We left the wedding to see a display of over 2 thousand lit pumpkins across the street. We made it just in time. I took two shots and they turned on all the lights!
