Kristin + Steve

*Updated*

I probably got carried away with the number of pictures posted on my blog from Kristin and Steve’s wedding, but it was hard to select just a handful! I finally stopped myself before I posted the entire wedding.

With each wedding and even family shoot, I get a tickle of butterflies in my stomach. For Kristin and Steve’s wedding, it was more like a swarm of bees…but in a good way. =) For weeks, I was completely anxious and excited to photograph their wedding. I gave Kristin an advance notice not to be surprised if I showed up a little early. =) After photographing their engagement session back in November, I knew they would be just a fun couple to shoot and be around. They were both so laid back and cool all day long. It was a little eerie how well everything was going…and without a wedding planner. For days, it was gloomy and rainy and the sky opened up just for Kristin and Steve’s day. Pardon the cliche, but it was picture perfect! Thanks for a great time. It was truly a pleasure and an honor…and a big thank you to the dancing guests for giving us a big chuckle. ;)

One of the highlights of the getting ready was seeing Nicole Palermo, my super-fabulous, uber-talented makeup artist that did my wedding day makeup almost 4 years ago. I haven’t seen her since and I think we both screamed out loud in excitement when we saw each other. I love her to pieces and it was so fun to run into her again. She did an amazing job on everyone!

I’m probably getting ahead of myself here, but I couldn’t resist.

The Mullins Part 2

As I was finishing my edits on the Mullins’ sessions, I came across two of my favorites. I don’t know how I missed them on the first blog post.

The Mullins

May 4th, 2009 kim

After having to postpone a couple of sessions due to unseasonably cold and rainy weekends, we hit the jackpot with yesterday’s weather. The light was golden and I couldn’t have dreamed of better conditions…or subjects. We met Kara and Sean at Jennifer and Christian’s wedding in November down in Williamsburg. Luck would have it that Kara and Sean live just around the corner from us! Photographing their boys was was such a hoot. You wouldn’t believe what funny sayings Liam comes up with. I think Trevor may have added to his collection….something about a dog in the water. You had to be there (wink). I quickly found out that Jack does not like to be followed by the paparazzi and he has no trouble telling you, but I know he doesn’t think I’m so bad because he ended the session with a big lovable hug! Thanks for a great day at the park!

Sitting is out of the question…so they run!

A great moment with Sean and Liam

Trevor is coaching them to walk around the corner, holding hands. As you can tell by Jack’s position, he’s ready to book it! mullins91.jpg
